Acupuncture
Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a time-tested, safe, effective, natural and drug-free way to maintain and regain health. Unlike other methods for handling conditions, there are no side effects. The World Health Organization and the National Institutes of Health acknowledge the benefits of acupuncture in treating and eliminating health concerns due to a wide range of causes. By inserting fine, sterile needles at specific points, an acupuncturist is able to break up blockages that have hampered the smooth flow of Qi (energy). Qi can then travel freely throughout the body, promoting healing, well-being and vitality. Not only can the acupuncturist treat the signs and symptoms of the problem, but also get to the root of the problem. When the initial cause of the problem is corrected, your body can begin to heal on deeper levels
Herbal Consultations
After the Dr. diagnoses a pattern of disharmony and administering acupuncture treatments if needed, a TCMD often makes up a herbal prescription from over a thousand common herbal formulas or from traditional family formulas. Herbal medicine has a long history in the Orient. The first Chinese material, the Shen-Nung Herbal Classic, was started during the Stone Age and completed in the later part of the 5th century BC, from which some important formulas originated.
